In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities

As a Quality Engineer specializing in Performance & Resilience Management, you demonstrate expertise in performance testing, load, scalability, networks, and infrastructure. You apply your skills in a billable services or implementation environment, providing technical expertise in performance and resilience management. Your primary responsibilities will include: * Design and Execute Tests: Design, manage, and execute tests using appropriate tools and techniques to ensure new and amended systems meet performance criteria and standards. * Develop Test Designs: Plan and develop test designs, defining the test automation framework to analyze results and resolve performance-related issues. * Analyze Performance Results: Utilize performance tools to analyze results, identifying areas for improvement and optimizing system performance. * Provide Technical Expertise: Apply technical expertise in performance and resilience management to deliver high-quality solutions in a billable services or implementation environment. * Resolve Performance Issues: Collaborate with teams to resolve performance-related issues, ensuring systems meet performance criteria and standards.

Required technical and professional expertise

* Performance Testing Expertise: Experience with performance testing, load, scalability, networks, and infrastructure, demonstrating a strong understanding of performance criteria and standards. * Test Automation Frameworks: Experience with defining test automation frameworks to analyze results and resolve performance-related issues, utilizing performance tools to optimize system performance. * Performance Tools Proficiency: Experience with utilizing performance tools to analyze results, identifying areas for improvement and optimizing system performance. * Technical Expertise in Performance Management: Experience applying technical expertise in performance and resilience management to deliver high-quality solutions in a billable services or implementation environment. * Test Design and Execution: Experience with designing, managing, and executing tests using appropriate tools and techniques to ensure new and amended systems meet performance criteria and standards.

Preferred technical and professional experience

* Exposure to Cloud Environments: Experience working with cloud-based infrastructure and performance testing in cloud environments is beneficial. * Familiarity with Agile Methodologies: Exposure to agile development methodologies and iterative testing approaches is advantageous. * Knowledge of Scripting Languages: Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Ruby is helpful in creating automated testing scripts.
