ndia Systems Development Lab (ISDL) is part of IBM Systems' worldwide technology development organization. Established in 1996, the lab is headquartered in India's Silicon Valley and start‑up hub,Bengaluru, with a strong presence inPuneandHyderabad.
Developers at ISDL deliver technology innovations across the entire IBM Systems portfolio, includingIBM Z Systems,Power / OpenPOWER Systems, andStorage. The teams work across the full technology stack-fromprocessor design and firmwareto theoperating systemandsoftware‑defined storage.

Your role and responsibilities
Build the world's simplest and most intuitive management system onIBM Z Systems, enabling customers to easily manage their resources. Contribute to thesimplification and modernization of Z resource managementby delivering a comprehensive set of capabilities forSystem Programmers.
- Design and develophigh‑level solutionsfor assigned enhancements by working closely with theProduct Owner, incorporating guidance as needed.
- Collaborate withUX/UI designersto prototype and implement innovative solutions aligned with product initiatives.
- Writeclean, readable, scalable, and efficient code, supported by rigorous testing practices.
- Review component designs and associatedcode pull requests, providing constructive and actionable feedback to team members.
- Identify test scenarios and create comprehensiveunit, functional, and integration test cases.
- Integratetest automationinto development and delivery workflows.
- Execute testing invirtual and real environments, covering component, system, and system‑integration levels.
- Participate actively inweekly sprint ceremonies, provide status updates to theIteration Manager, and deliver sprint demos.
- Ensuretimely deliveryof user stories associated with product initiatives.
- Identify, triage, and resolvedefectsdiscovered during various testing phases.
- Communicate effectively and collaborate withlocal and global team membersas well as key stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities forcustomer engagementand lead technical discussions with clients and stakeholders under the guidance of the Product Owner.
- Driveproduct hygiene initiatives, including adherence to organizationalsecurity practices,accessibility testing, and product build processes.
- Build and enhance thecontinuous integration (CI) environmentto support automated delivery pipelines.
- Demonstrate readiness tolead a team of engineers, provide technical and interpersonal support, and collaborate closely to achieve business objectives.
