The Salesforce Lead Architect acts as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, IT leadership and cross functional teams. Will be the key role in architecting and driving the implementing of business solutions on the Salesforce platform. This role requires a deep understanding of Salesforce capabilities, as well as excellent technical and communication skills.  
 Job Summary: 
As a Salesforce Technical Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing secure, scalable, and high-performance technical solutions within the Salesforce ecosystem, bridging business needs with deep technical implementation. This role leads the design of Salesforce architecture which align to business goals and guides development teams in delivering high quality technical solutions. You will work closely with stakeholders, including business analysts, developers, and administrators, to translate business requirements into technical designs and oversee the implementation of these designs. Requires knowledge of key up and down stream applications and integration strategies.  

Detailed Job Description 

The lead Salesforce Technical Architect (TA) is accountable for the end-to-end design of the Finastra Salesforce instance/s.  The role is accountable for developing the Finastra Salesforce technical strategy, roadmap, integration and implementation strategy.  The role will support our objective to simplify & automate our Salesforce footprint and ensure that we deliver a world-class user experience to Finastra employees.  Interacting with users and stakeholders across various business functions, this role will drive delivery of business priorities using Salesforce capabilities. 

Key responsibilities 

• Solution Architecture and Design: Design enterprise level salesforce solutions, architecture and implementation strategies.  

  
  
  

• Design data models, integrations patterns, AI strategy & security models aligned to Finastra and Salesforce best practices.  

  
  
  

• Leads the technical design and development of Salesforce, ensuring they meet requirements and align with strategic direction. 

  
  
  

• Defines and champions technical standards, principles, and best practices. 

  
  
  

• Identifies and mitigates technical risks and issues. 

  
  
  

• Governance and Standards: Define and enforce coding standards, Dev Ops processes and technical documentation. 

  
  
  

• Develop relationships with members of the Enterprise Technology & Operations leadership team to ensure delivery of strategic objectives of simplification & automation. 

  
  
  

• Ensure the delivery of projects are completed to a suitable level of quality, on time, within scope, and within budget. 

  
  
  

• Work in conjunction with the Enterprise Applications leadership team to ensure delivery of business plan objectives. 

  
  
  

• Identify and mitigate business & technology risks / issues, proactively seeking solutions to keep projects on track.  Escalate to senior leadership as needed. 

  
  
  

• Work closely with developers to resolve issues as and when they arise. 

  
  
  

• Support in strategic planning activities across the team to support initiatives for the Enterprise Technology & Operations team. 

  
  
  

• Work closely with the M&A team to define acquisition and divest strategies related to salesforce platform.  

  
  
  

Skills & Experience:  Experience :13 +Years

• Extensive experience using Salesforce Flow & APEX programming language, Apex Design Patterns, Governance, and Security Standards 
• Experience with core Salesforce products: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud
• Experience with Revenue Management/CPQ tools and processes (Experience with Salesforce Revenue Cloud Advanced and relevant RCA/CPQ certifications desirable)
• Salesforce Platform Developer | Platform Developer II certification required
• CTA/Application Architect Certification highly desirable but not essential 
• Enterprise Integration Patterns (API, ETL, Event Bus). (Mulesoft experience advantageous)
• Adoption of AI Capabilities / Agentforce Architecture – ability to design build & deploy autonomous AI agents (Agentforce Specialist Certification desirable)
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum framework and demonstrable experience in leading teams. 
• DevOps, CI/CD, and Environment Management strategy 
• Analytical mindset and the ability to make data-driven decisions
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities, often requiring a high level of collaboration and quick decision making in a dynamic setting
• Prompt engineering experience a plus
