Manager - New Business Development/ Technical Services (Polymer)

Purpose of the Position:

The role is responsible for driving new business opportunities and providing technical support for polymer-based products. Contributes to the technology development plan for the unit, identifying potentially viable and economically interesting process development and optimization opportunities.  Provides technological support to the unit, delivering optimal added value, contributing towards the operational unit attaining and complying with international and national standards and regulations.

Responsibilities:-

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in target markets and applications
• Work closely with the sales team to provide technical inputs during customer interactions
• Support preparation of product presentations, technical datasheets, and value propositions
• Participate in customer visits, trials, and technical discussions
• Provide technical support for existing and new products across domestic and international markets
• Assist in product troubleshooting, customer complaints, and application development
• Support product commercialization from concept to market launch
• Deliver timely technical responses to customer queries and requirements
• Support R&D in innovation projects and new product development initiatives
• Participate in plant trials, product evaluations, and scale-up activities
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (R&D, production, QA) for successful execution
• Prepare technical reports, trial reports, and product validation documentation
• Assist in organizing technical seminars, customer workshops, and industry events
• Maintain updated technical documentation and knowledge repositories

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Polymer Science / Chemical Engineering / Plastics Engineering
• 8–12 years of experience in polymer, plastics, or specialty chemicals industry
