About the job Senior Business Analyst

Duties & Responsibilities

Articulate and champion a clear, long-term product vision, ensuring alignment across the team and stakeholders.
Serve as the sole owner of the Product Backlog, prioritizing items based on value, risk, and dependencies to maximize efficiency and outcomes.
Make tactical decisions on feature development to ensure every delivery increment provides maximum value to customers and the business.
Act as the primary liaison for all stakeholders, gathering feedback, managing expectations, and communicating progress and trade-offs clearly.
Collaborate daily with the development team to clarify requirements, define acceptance criteria, and actively participate in all Scrum ceremonies.
Deep understanding of the target market, user personas, and the industry domain to inform product decisions.
Proven ability to use data, metrics, and user feedback to drive backlog prioritization and validate the product direction.
Strong sense of value prioritization and the ability to articulate the business case and ROI for product features.
Sufficient understanding of the technology stack and development processes to collaborate credibly with engineers.
Excellent at conveying vision and requirements to both technical and non-technical audiences, with strong active listening and negotiation skills.
Mastery of Agile/Scrum practices, including writing user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and active participation in all sprint events.

Qualifications, skills, and abilities

A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst in an Agile/Scrum environment, with a verifiable track record of guiding products from initial concept through to successful launch and subsequent iteration.
High proficiency with Agile tools like Jira or Azure DevOps for sophisticated backlog management.
A strong understanding of the end-to-end Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and a deep commitment to Agile principles and practices.
Demonstrated mastery in writing excellent user stories and well-defined acceptance criteria.
Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand and align detailed product work with overarching strategic company goals.
An analytical, data-driven mindset; you are comfortable using data and metrics to inform priorities, validate ideas, and solve complex problems.
Outstanding communication, presentation, and facilitation skills. You can explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences and articulate business needs to developers with equal ease.
Proven experience in managing diverse stakeholders, navigating conflicting priorities, and building consensus through effective influence and negotiation.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves):
Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar Agile certification.
A genuine passion for creating user-centric products that solve real-world problems.
Preferred to have an IQAMA.
