ROLE PURPOSE: Under the supervision and technical support of Case Management Officer, CP Case Worker will be responsible for identifying, documenting, and responding to the needs of vulnerable and at-risk children to ensure their access to basic services and other necessary support. They will conduct individual case follow-ups, facilitate alternative care and reunification processes for unaccompanied and separated children, and take the lead in identifying cases for children with protection concerns using national Case Management forms. The Case Worker will coordinate with relevant SCI staff and stakeholders involved in protection and CP, ensuring effective implementation of the comprehensive CM and FTR activities. He/she is expected to work flexibly, including outside normal working hours when needed, to support children’s protection and well-being.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
- Maintain the highest standards of professional conduct and ensure actions do not put children at risk of further harm.
- Conduct initial assessments for CP cases and prioritize them according to risk level.
- Develop case plans with the child and family that address needs identified in assessments; seek supervisory support when needed. Ensure direct services and timely referrals (medical, legal, MHPSS, etc.) are part of the plan.
- Identify, document, trace, and reunify unaccompanied and separated children in line with FTR SOPs.
- Regularly follow up to ensure that services and action points listed in the case plan are carried out within agreed timeframes, adjusting based on risk level.
- Monitor and support children and families through home visits, providing guidance, emotional support, community mediation, and referrals.
- Collaborate with the Case Management officer to arrange case conferences for complex cases to ensure multi-disciplinary support.
- Engage with community mobilisers and Facilitators to identify and support vulnerable and at-risk children, emphasizing safeguarding in all interactions.
- Manage cases in line with SOPs, adhering to standard documentation processes and workflow guidance.
- Regularly document cases using agreed inter-agency forms, update databases, and ensure data protection and information sharing protocols are respected.
- Lead the service mapping, update the service directory accordingly, and disseminate it.
- Ensure high-quality CM documentation (case plans, referral forms, other relevant documents) with strict confidentiality and adherence to information-sharing protocols.
- Code, store, and transfer data safely; destroy data according to SCI data protection protocols.
- Conduct field visits to ensure communities are well informed about the case management service (eligibility, functions, etc.).
- Ensure protection monitoring at the field level and report any incidents immediately in line with SOPs.
General: Carryout any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES
- Bachelor’s degree in social work.
- Previous work with children required, preferably in a social work setting.
- Previous work required on CP such as Case management FTR, MHPSS.
- Must be excellent in communicating with children.
- At least 1 year experience working as a Social Worker, conducting case management work or working with children and families in difficult situations
- Willingness and ability to dramatically change work practices and hours in the event of emergencies
- Ability to analyse information, evaluate options, and follow the strategic directions as guided
- An in-depth understanding of national development issues, law and national policies as relates to children
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Fluency in written & spoken Arabic.
- Commitment to Save the Children Code of Conduct, Child Safeguarding Policy and values
- Good understanding of community context and traditional networks
- Experience in interview techniques (child friendly)
- Be able to work in challenging environment i.e. walk substantial distances
- Ability to work through line management and under limited/distance supervision
