Position Summary

As a member of the Foundation Services team, Foundations Technical Trainers provide on-site technical field training for Nextpower’s customers during the project construction phase. The Technical Trainer is responsible for successfully Training the client on the recommended method of Nextpower’s innovative foundation solutions by partnering with all internal and external stakeholders quickly resolving on-site issues through effective communication and collaboration. In addition, Field Technical Trainers works closely with our Field Applications and Engineering and Construction Management teams by providing detailed documentation on training progress and in-field issues that arise, supporting ongoing improvements to our technology and processes. This is a remote, field-based position, expected to travel 100% of the time.

Key Responsibilities/Requirements
  • Provide customers with on-site technical training support with the goal of successfully integrating Nextpower foundation solutions technology
  • Ensure customer feedback, issues, and other critical information obtained during field training is documented and communicated back to internal stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities to improve technology and processes using analytical engineering decisions independently and/or collaboratively with internal stakeholders and SMEs,
  • Jobsite operational and technical support
  • Perform technical demonstrations in support of key Sales activities
  • Perform Pile Load Testing in advance of full project execution.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting and information tracking to depart and company leadership, internal and external stakeholders, and partners
  • Directly support and complete training of Foundation Solutions machine operators
  • Train and support on-site mechanic teams
  • Train and support internal and external field leadership, quality personnel, foreman, inspector, and other technical project stakeholders
  • Recognize and report safety concerns promptly
  • 100% remote, field-based position

Qualifications



Experience:



  • 2-5 years of experience in field training, or a related technical field
  • Experience working in the field in the renewable energy sector, preferably in solar tracker foundation solutions
  • Hands-on experience with heavy machinery, foundation installation, or construction site operations
  • Experience in customer-facing roles, providing direct technical training support

Education:



  • Technical certificate in heavy machinery engineering or construction, such as a CCA, CCM, Certified Crane Operator Certification, or Assistive Design Certificate
  • Equivalent work experience in field training or construction support may be considered in place of a formal degree

Knowledge:



  • Familiarity with construction site safety regulations and best practices
  • Knowledge of solar tracker systems, foundation installation techniques, and pile driving equipment
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, technical specifications, and site plans

Skills:



  • Communication & Collaboration: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with internal teams, customers, and subcontractors
  • Training & Support: Experience conducting technical training for customers and field operators
