1. PURPOSE OF THE JOB
We are seeking a seasoned Granite Expert to bridge the gap between our raw extraction and high-end finishing departments. In this role, you will be the ultimate authority on stone quality, processing efficiency, and technical execution. You will oversee the journey of our granite from raw block evaluation, through gang-saw slicing and automated polishing lines, down to the final CNC custom cutting. Your expertise will ensure minimum waste, maximum yield, and unparalleled finish quality.
2. KEY ACTIVITIES
Education: A degree in Geology, Mining Engineering, Materials Science, or equivalent field experience/trade certifications is highly desirable
Experience: Minimum of 5–7 years of hands-on technical experience in industrial granite processing, manufacturing, or heavy stone fabrication.
Material Expertise: Deep, authoritative knowledge of various granite types, mineral compositions, and how different stones react to cutting, heating, and chemical treating.
Technical Proficiency: Strong familiarity with industrial stone machinery, including multi-wire saws, slab polishing lines, 5-axis CNC routers, and bridge saws.
Blueprint Reading: Ability to interpret architectural blueprints, CAD designs, and technical specifications for custom commercial and residential layouts.
Problem Solving: A sharp eye for detail with the ability to spot micro-fissures or color variations that others might miss.
KEY COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS
· Material Efficiency & Cost Control. Granite is an expensive, non-homogeneous natural material. An expert must maximize the value derived from every raw block or slab.
· Craftsmanship & Quality Assurance (QA). Natural stone has natural fissures, pits, and complex patterns. Expertise is measured by how well those elements are handled. seam match accuracy, polishing uniformity score and template to fit
· Operational Throughput & Timeline.they should check the production cycle time and the on-time installation rate.
· Demonstrates expert knowledge of granite types, finishes, and applications.
· Provides accurate technical advice to customers and project teams.
· Maintains up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and new products.
· Ensures compliance with company quality standards and specifications.
· Builds and maintains strong relationships with suppliers and client.
