We are looking for an experienced Workshop Incharge to oversee and manage the daily operations of our MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) workshop. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising fabrication, assembly, and maintenance activities, ensuring quality control, and managing a team of technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

Workshop Operations & Supervision


  • Manage and supervise daily operations of the MEP workshop, ensuring smooth execution of fabrication, assembly, and repair works.
  • Lead a team of 60 labourers and multiple MEP supervisors to meet project requirements.
  • Oversee the proper functioning and utilization of workshop machines, tools, and equipment.

Team Leadership & Labor Management


  • Assign tasks and ensure proper workflow among technicians, welders, electricians, and plumbers.
  • Train and mentor workers to improve efficiency and technical skills.
  • Monitor attendance, productivity, and discipline within the workshop.

Quality Control & Compliance


  • Ensure all fabricated MEP components meet quality standards and project specifications.
  • Conduct regular inspections and testing of MEP systems before dispatch.
  • Enforce compliance with safety regulations, UAE labour laws, and company policies.

Material & Inventory Management


  • Maintain and track stock levels of materials, tools, and spare parts.
  • Coordinate with the procurement team for timely ordering of required materials.
  • Implement effective inventory control measures to prevent wastage and shortages.

Machine & Equipment Maintenance


  • Ensure all workshop machines and tools are properly maintained and serviced.
  • Schedule preventive maintenance to avoid breakdowns and delays.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in equipment and tools.

Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in MEP workshop management, handling large labour teams and machines.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong ability to manage, train, and supervise a team of 60+ workers and multiple supervisors.
  • Technical Knowledge: Expertise in MEP fabrication, electrical panels, ducting, plumbing, welding, and assembly.
  • Machine Handling: Experience with CNC machines, cutting tools, welding machines, and other workshop equipment.

  • Safety & Compliance: Knowledge of UAE labour laws, workshop safety protocols, and quality control standards.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and operational challenges.
  • Reporting & IT Skills: Basic proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and reporting tools.
