Job Description

Job Title: Welding Inspector
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Project Type: Large-Scale Thermal Power Plant Project
Mobilization: June 2026
Employment Type: Full-time / Project-Based


The Welding Inspector will inspect welding works, verify compliance with approved welding procedures and codes, and ensure that fabrication and installation activities meet required quality standards. Experience with high-temperature alloy materials, including P91, is highly desirable.


Key Responsibilities


  • Inspect welding, fit-up, joint preparation, and related fabrication/installation activities
  • Verify compliance with WPS, PQR, welder qualifications, and project specifications
  • Review welding documentation, reports, and inspection records
  • Witness NDT coordination and related quality activities
  • Identify and report welding defects, deviations, and non-conformities
  • Support root cause discussions and corrective action follow-up
  • Ensure all welding activities comply with QA/QC and HSE requirements

Qualifications
  • Technical diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience
  • Strong experience in thermal power plant or industrial welding inspection
  • Familiarity with applicable welding codes and standards
  • Experience with P91 or similar critical materials is an advantage
  • Relevant inspection certification is preferred

Preferred Profile


  • Exposure to high-pressure piping and critical welds
  • GCC project experience
  • Strong quality documentation and field coordination skills
