Job description

1.    In charge of all Welding activities onboard the vessel and job site. He reports to the Barge Foreman.
2.    In charge of his welders i.e. safety, production and quality.
3.    In charge of issuing his welders with the safety gears required for the job and control the supply of these gears so as to be used wisely.
4.    In charge of applying the QA/QC procedures for controlling and the correct baking, warming, making and logging of electrodes.
5.    Responsible for applying the approved welding procedures.
6.    Responsible to control welding , gouging and cutting in all areas and to ensure that proper permits are obtained prior to commence working on hazardous surfaces such as diesel tanks, live lines, septic tanks etc.

Qualifications:

• High school or equivalent 
• Good standard of written and spoken English
• Computer Literacy
• All offshore safety training requirements 
• 5 years of experience in Oil & Gas Projects
