Job Purpose The Visual Quality Inspector is responsible for conducting final and in-process visual inspections on assembled units within the server assembly line. This role ensures that all electronic and mechanical assemblies meet defined quality standards prior to testing and shipment, thereby supporting overall product reliability and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform 100% visual inspection of electronic components, mechanical parts, and assembled units.
  • Conduct detailed inspection of wire harnesses, including connectors, insulation, and overall reliability.
  • Identify and document visual defects in mechanical parts and assemblies.
  • Verify labeling accuracy in accordance with the latest model configurations and specifications.
  • Conduct in-process and final inspections, documenting results and identifying non-conformities.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and ensure compliance with documentation standards.
  • Support root cause analysis (RCA) and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Drive yield improvement and defect reduction through Lean, Kaizen, and error-proofing (Poka-Yoke) practices.
      Required Skills & Experience
  • 2–4 years of experience in electronics assembly inspection or a similar manufacturing quality role.
  • Good knowledge of IPC-A-610 standards.
  • Experience in inspecting electronic assemblies, mechanical components, and wire harnesses.
  • Good understanding of ESD compliance and 5S (housekeeping) practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail with a structured and methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with mass manufacturing environments, preferably in server assembly/IT hardware/other electronics.
  • Good documentation practices and adherence to quality formats and procedures.
