Job description

Job Description: Test Engineer (Flying Probe & PCBA Specialist)
Location: Dubai, UAE (Dubai Silicon Oasis)
Reports to: Head of Engineering

Role Objective
We are seeking an expert Test Engineer to spearhead the testing and debugging phases of our enterprise-class PCBA manufacturing. You will be the technical authority on Flying Probe Testing (FPT), responsible for both high-level programming and hands-on maintenance of SPEA or SEICA systems. Your mission is to ensure 100% test coverage and rapid root-cause analysis for complex hardware failures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Automated Testing: Program, calibrate, and operate SPEA or SEICA Flying Probe testers to identify manufacturing defects (shorts, opens, component values).
  • Test Development: Develop and optimize test programs from CAD data and schematics to maximize fault coverage and minimize cycle time.
  • Advanced Debugging: Perform board-level troubleshooting down to the component level using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers.
  • Maintenance: Lead the preventative maintenance and hardware calibration of FPT machines to ensure zero downtime.
  • Automation & Scripting: Develop custom scripts in Python or LabVIEW to automate data collection and interface testing equipment with our MES (Manufacturing Execution System).
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Design (DfT) and Quality teams to provide feedback on board layout and manufacturing yield improvements.

Required Technical Profile
  • FPT Expertise: 5+ years of hands-on experience with SPEA (40xx series) or SEICA (Pilot series). Must be able to write test programs from scratch.
  • Hardware Skills: Expert at reading complex multi-layer PCB schematics and layouts.
  • Tooling: High proficiency with high-speed Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators, and Multimeters.
  • Programming: Strong scripting skills in Python or C++. Experience with LabVIEW for automated test bench development is a significant advantage.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
