  • Ensure test equipment complies with Eaton MESH (Health, Safety & Environment) standards and is safe and ergonomic to use.
  • Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate fixture strength, durability, and performance.
  • Support or lead the development of local suppliers in the Middle East for fixture fabrication and automation solutions.
  • Develop innovative mechanical and automation concepts to improve repeatability and reduce manual intervention in testing.
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation, including drawings, calculations, reports, and validation records.
  • Develop and support Verification & Validation (V&V) activities, including fixture qualification and strain gauge testing.
  • Collaborate closely with Test Development, R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to solve technical challenges and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree - Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 5+ years of experience designing and manufacturing mechanical or automation jigs, fixtures, or test equipment.
  • Strong hands on experience with CAD tools such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.

Skills:
  • Practical experience with FEA and strain measurement techniques.
  • Solid understanding of engineering calculations for design verification.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and PCB layouts.
  • Experience with Siemens NX, Creo, or Teamcenter.
  • Knowledge of DFMA, Lean, 5S, and DFSS methodologies.
  • Familiarity with fabrication methods (sheet metal, plastics, machined parts).
  • Exposure to automation, robotics, or AI enabled engineering tools.
  • Experience with PLM systems.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross functional, multicultural teams.

What we offer you:
  • Being part of a company that has been in business for more than 100 years, is well known in the industry, and has a major impact on the energy industry
  • Work in a company that is commitment to Inclusion & Diversity and Sustainability
  • Annual mentoring program, Eaton University, a reward, and recognition system
