About the job Technician – Reliability, Condition Monitoring Job Title: Technician – Reliability, Condition Monitoring Job Summary

The Technician – Reliability, Condition Monitoring is responsible for carrying out condition monitoring activities for all rotating equipment across the plant. The role includes vibration monitoring, lube oil analysis, thermography, predictive maintenance, alignment, balancing, and reporting of equipment condition to support plant reliability and minimize downtime.


Key Responsibilities
  • Perform vibration monitoring and analysis for rotating equipment as per schedule.
  • Collect and analyze machinery vibration data using portable data collectors and monitoring software.
  • Carry out lube oil sampling, thermography surveys, onsite balancing, laser alignment, and endoscope inspections.
  • Monitor condition of motors, pumps, compressors, gearboxes, fans, blowers, turbines, and other rotating equipment.
  • Identify abnormalities through inspection and report equipment issues for corrective action.
  • Support startup and commissioning activities by conducting vibration testing and equipment checks.
  • Generate reports and maintain condition monitoring records and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with company HSE, quality, and maintenance procedures.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and support maintenance activities to minimize production loss.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives for plant reliability and equipment performance.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in condition monitoring within a steel plant or heavy industrial environment.
  • Hands-on experience with vibration analysis systems such as Bently Nevada, SKF, CSI, or IRD.
  • Knowledge of predictive maintenance and rotating equipment monitoring techniques.
  • Familiarity with AMS Machinery Health Manager, RBMware, or similar software is preferred.
  • Basic computer knowledge in MS Office applications.
  • Good communication skills in English.
