About the job TECHNICAL SAFETY LEAD

We are seeking an experienced Technical Safety Lead to join our multidisciplinary engineering team for an ADNOC Offshore project during the FEED and EPC phases. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in process safety, risk assessment, and offshore design, with proven experience in ADNOC projects and compliance with international standards.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Lead technical safety engineering activities across FEED and EPC phases in line with ADNOC standards and project requirements.
  • Plan and facilitate safety studies including HAZID, HAZOP, QRA, SIL/LOPA, SIMOPS, EERA, and FERA.
  • Develop and review key deliverables such as Safety Philosophy, Fire Protection Philosophy, and Hazardous Area Classification.
  • Ensure integration of safety in design, including layout, fire protection, and gas detection systems.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in design reviews and safety workshops.
  • Interface with ADNOC and ensure compliance with Codes of Practice and regulatory requirements.
  • Review vendor documents, respond to TQs, and support construction and commissioning activities.
  • Ensure timely delivery of safety deliverables and closure of action items.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Chemical/Process/Mechanical preferred).
  • 15+ years of experience in technical safety within oil & gas, including offshore projects.
  • Strong experience on ADNOC Offshore or GCC projects.
  • Proven involvement in FEED and EPC phases.
  • Familiarity with risk assessment tools (e.g., PHAST) and international standards (API, NFPA, IEC).
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Chartered Engineer or safety certifications (NEBOSH, TÜV) are a plus.
