Job description

The Talent Acquisition Officer plays a crucial role in the construction and building industry by identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent to meet the organization's staffing needs. This position requires a strategic approach to recruitment, ensuring that the company not only fills vacancies but also builds a strong employer brand that appeals to prospective candidates. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the construction sector, enabling them to effectively communicate the company’s values and opportunities to potential hires.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates.
  2. Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and create job descriptions.
  3. Utilize various sourcing methods, including social media, job boards, and networking events, to identify potential candidates.
  4. Screen resumes and conduct initial interviews to assess candidates' qualifications and fit for the organization.
  5. Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers and candidates.
  6. Manage the offer process, including salary negotiations and onboarding procedures.
  7. Maintain accurate records of recruitment activities and candidate information in the applicant tracking system.
  8. Build and maintain relationships with external recruitment agencies and educational institutions.
  9. Participate in job fairs and industry events to promote the company and attract talent.
  10. Continuously evaluate and improve recruitment processes to enhance efficiency and candidate experience.

Preferred Candidate:

  1. Proven experience in recruitment, preferably within the construction or related industry.
  2. Strong understanding of labor laws and regulations related to hiring.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  5. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  6. Proficient in using applicant tracking systems and recruitment software.
  7. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  8. Proactive approach to problem-solving and candidate engagement.
  9. Strong networking skills to build relationships with potential candidates.
  10. Commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion in the hiring process.
