Job Description

Supervisor (Mechanical) – O&M


What You'll Do


As Mechanical Supervisor, you will lead and coordinate the mechanical maintenance activities of assigned pumping stations, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all mechanical assets. You will supervise maintenance teams, plan resources, and support the Engineer in delivering maintenance activities in line with operational priorities and safety requirements.


Key responsibilities include:


  • Lead and supervise daily mechanical maintenance activities across assigned pumping stations.
  • Coordinate and guide maintenance teams consisting of Mechanics and Helpers, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.
  • Plan and organize required spare parts, tools, consumables, and resources in coordination with the Engineer.
  • Conduct task risk assessments and implement appropriate mitigation measures before executing maintenance activities.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical equipment failures and provide technical support during maintenance interventions.
  • Coordinate maintenance schedules and adjust priorities in response to breakdowns, emergencies, weather conditions, or resource constraints.
  • Allocate tasks and responsibilities to maintenance personnel and monitor performance.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all HSE procedures and permit requirements.
  • Provide guidance on the correct use of tools, machinery, PPE, and safety equipment.
  • Resolve operational issues and team conflicts in a professional and timely manner.
  • Prepare and submit daily maintenance and progress reports.
  • Lead maintenance activities on pumps, valves, relief valves, surge vessels, OCUs, coarse screens, diesel pumps, and associated mechanical equipment.
  • Oversee assembly, installation, alignment, and maintenance of mechanical systems and rotating equipment.
  • Read, interpret, and implement work based on mechanical drawings, manuals, and technical documentation.

Supervisor (EICA) – O&M


What You'll Do


As EICA Supervisor, you will lead and coordinate electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation maintenance activities across assigned pumping stations, ensuring equipment reliability, safety, and operational continuity.


Key responsibilities include:


  • Lead and supervise daily EICA maintenance activities across assigned pumping stations.
  • Coordinate and guide teams consisting of Electricians and Helpers to deliver planned maintenance activities.
  • Plan and arrange spare parts, tools, consumables, and resources in coordination with the Engineer.
  • Conduct task risk assessments and implement mitigation measures prior to maintenance execution.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation issues while ensuring compliance with HSE requirements.
  • Coordinate maintenance schedules and adjust priorities based on operational requirements and emergencies.
  • Delegate work activities and monitor team performance.
  • Promote safe working practices and ensure the correct use of tools, PPE, and equipment.
  • Resolve operational issues and team conflicts effectively.
  • Prepare and submit daily maintenance and progress reports.
  • Lead maintenance activities on MCC rooms, control panels, pumps, motors, valves, relief valves, OCUs, and coarse screens.
  • Carry out infrared thermographic inspections of electrical equipment and control panels.
  • Support maintenance and troubleshooting of PLC, SCADA, RTU, VFD, and control systems.
  • Review and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, single-line diagrams, and P&IDs.
  • Ensure reliability and availability of electrical and automation assets within the pumping stations.

Qualifications

Supervisor (Mechanical)


What You Bring


  • High School Diploma, Technical Certificate, or equivalent qualification.
  • Vocational or Trade School certification in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline is preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, including supervisory responsibilities.
  • Experience in pumping stations, water infrastructure, utilities, or industrial facilities is preferred.
  • Good understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
  • Sound knowledge of HSE requirements and safe work practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
  • Strong planning, communication, and team leadership skills.
  • UAE Driving License is preferred.

Supervisor (EICA)


What You Bring


  • High School Diploma, Technical Certificate, or equivalent qualification.
  • Vocational or Trade School certification in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Automation disciplines is preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar EICA supervisory role.
  • Experience in pumping stations, water infrastructure, utilities, or industrial facilities is preferred.
  • Good understanding of PLC, SCADA, RTU, VFD, MCC, and control systems.
  • Strong understanding of HSE requirements and safe work practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and instrumentation drawings.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and planning skills.
  • UAE Driving License is preferred.
