The Supervisor - Finance Projects and Compliance is responsible for leading group-wide finance special projects, streamlining finance processes, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations (e.
g., corporate tax, VAT, AML), and overseeing pre-audit functions.
Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, the role is pivotal in strengthening financial governance, driving system and process improvements, and maintaining adherence to regulatory requirements across all business units.
Key responsibilities 1.
Finance special projects Implement group-wide finance transformation initiatives, including: o Implementation and migration of integrated accounting systems across BUs.
o Historical data transformation and migration to new systems.
o Fixing and configuring accounting systems for improved functionality and reporting.
 Drive cross-functional collaboration to align finance projects with business goals.
 Monitor progress and ensure timely delivery of finance-related projects.
2. Finance process streamlining and governance  Monitor and assess effectiveness of accounting and finance systems (IT systems) and processes through study of ongoing operations, review of external and internal audit reports.
 Design and implement controls to streamline payment processes, eliminating duplicate or erroneous payments.
 Establish and enforce maker-checker controls to strengthen governance.
 Configure approved budgets in financial systems, ensuring alignment with corporate guidelines.
 Review and update finance policies and processes to reflect best practices and regulatory changes.
 Track and report on finance department KPIs to evaluate performance and drive improvements.
3. Compliance management  Ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including: o UAE VAT and corporate tax laws: timely return filings,reconciliations, and communication with the Federal Tax Authority (FTA).
o AML regulations, real estate regulatory requirements, and other financial laws.
 Oversee the renewal of trade licenses, labor law registrations, and other necessary permits for all entities.
 Act as the key liaison for internal and external audits related to compliance.
4. Pre-audit and payment oversight  Conduct pre-audit reviews of financial transactions to identify and rectify discrepancies.
 Review payment requests to ensure adherence to budget and policy guidelines.
 Implement best practices for payment processing and ensure adherence to SLAs.
 Ensure all payments and transactions comply with internal controls, financial policies, and regulatory requirements.
5. Systems governance and financial controls  Oversee financial system governance, ensuring system integrity, security, and compliance.
 Monitor and resolve gaps in system configuration related to financial processes.
 Align finance systems and controls with organizational objectives and audit requirements.

g., UAE VAT, corporate tax) and compliance requirements.
Should also have expertise in finance policy formulation, governance frameworks and proficiency in ERP systems and finance automation tools.
Job holder will have excellent communication skills in English language.
Knowledge of Arabic language would be an added advantage.
Strong understanding of UAE VAT, corporate tax, and AML compliance.
Strong grasp of internal control frameworks and financial governance standards.
Familiarity with real estate-specific regulatory and financial compliance.
Expertise in finance systems governance and automation.
Experience with system implementation and process transformation initiatives.
