Management of permanent works engineering and coordination/development of shop drawings.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: The delivery of coordinated Shop Drawings for structural and civil elements of the project. Establishing clear and unambiguous standard to which his/her team is to perform. The resolution of engineering conflicts using a 'best for project' approach. The update of weekly/monthly tracking instrument (spreadsheets) to provide actual accurate and visual representations of the engineering progress. Maintain the Engineering folder structure and encouraging subordinates to do the same. From time to time the engineering coordinator will be required fill gaps of the delivery team, such as completing a BSS when needed. The formulation of coherent clear and concise RFI/TQs formulated to clarify elements of the design that may be unclear or ambiguous. To alert the EM, PM or CM should there be changes to the tender requirements both in terms of design responsibility or scope creep. Forecast the resources required to complete the works thus maintaining an accurate cost to completion for his/her scope. Process a working understanding of the Engineering codes, standards and local guidelines that we are asked to operate within. Provide effective and unambiuous leadership to his/her team, maintaining a healthy moral.
