Our client, a manufacturing company in Ajman, is hiring for a Storekeeper Job in Ajman to support daily warehouse and inventory operations.
The role includes tracking stock, updating records, and issuing materials for production needs. You will use ERP systems to maintain accurate inventory data and ensure smooth material flow. Prior experience in a manufacturing or sheet metal setting is preferred, along with good attention to detail and basic computer skills.
- Verify and report the monthly stock status of all materials through the ERP system to ensure accurate inventory tracking.
- Maintain a daily report of sheet stock and material usage through the ERP system and update all relevant personnel with the daily reports.
- Issue materials as per the given MBOM (Manufacturing Bill of Materials). Any additional items should only be issued based on written communication, with all issued items properly documented.
- Handle the issuing of chemicals and powder to the Gasketing Machine and Powder Coating Plant as required by production.
- Update gas and chemical usage in the ERP system monthly, based on reports received from the Powder Coating Department.
- Ensure that Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for all chemicals are properly displayed in the store for reference and safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of received materials, stock levels, and movement of materials within the store.
- Assist in maintaining proper documentation of material issues and receipts related to specific jobs and production requirements through the ERP system.
- Keep the store and inventory organized in a systematic manner, ensuring easy identification of materials while maintaining cleanliness and order.
- Receive and label customer-supplied items intended for use by other departments and maintain a log of these items through the ERP system and material issue slips.
- Prepare Goods Receipt Notes (GRN) for incoming materials and ensure proper documentation.
- Assist in preparing Purchase Requisitions for consumables when required.
- Maintain all records in an organized and systematic manner to facilitate verification of store procedures and inventory audits.
- Prepare materials and consumables for daily production based on the Production Plan and Material Requisition (MR).
- Manage the distribution of daily Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to shop floor employees and maintain records of issuance.
- Record and store all customer samples safely and maintain proper documentation.
- Arrange and ensure that the company warehouse remains well-maintained, organized, and orderly at all times.
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related specialization.
- Minimum 4 years of experience within the sheet metal and manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with storekeeping procedures and inventory management practices.
- Highly systematic and organized working style with attention to detail.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Well-versed in computer skills and ERP-based inventory systems.
- Willingness to work in shifts based on operational requirements.
- Good English communication skills.
