We are looking for a Site Water & Utilities Area Construction Lead for one of our clients with the following details:


Location: North Rumaila, Iraq


Scheme: Rotational 28 days ON / 28 days OFF


Start: 1st June 2026


Duration: 24 months with possibility of extension


Qualification and Experience required:


  • Degree : Diploma/ Degree in electrical and instrumentation disciplines,
  • Minimum 10-15+ years of experience in Oil & Gas Industry or Heavy industries with similar large scale projects and context in Contract, Engineering and Construction activities for Onshore (or Onshore yards) projects,
  • Proven track records of several successful assignments on similar site positions.

Technical competencies:


  • Broad and versatile (disciplines wise) technical experience across all aspects of major Surface Facilities project development,
  • Sound knowledge and experience in Engineering and Project Control for Onshore and Nearshore projects is considered a plus,
  • Vast and concrete knowledge of monitoring of large Oil&Gas EPC Contractors at site,

Behavioural competencies:


  • Ability to adapt and to represent the company in discussions and meetings with contractors and stakeholders,
  • Ability to embrace and closely monitor Environmental, Social Performances and Security requirements as critical aspects of the Site Project Execution,
  • Proven records of ability to effectively integrate a team and adhere to team-spirit rules. Demonstrate sound organization ability and work in a multi-cultural/international business environment,
  • Strong Leadership Good interpersonal and communication skills ; Good motivational skills,
  • Dedication and ability to work under pressing conditions.

The main missions and activities of the Job Holder are as follows and concern the CPF-2 Water & Utilities area:


  • Be a proactive and team-spirit driven member of the CPF-2 Site Construction team,
  • Participate to the review and approval of site construction procedures/method statements. Identify and make recommendations as to areas for improvement in constructability related issues,
  • Coordinate the supervision of construction activities with all required disciplines Supervisors of the CPF-2 Site Construction (functional link with these Supervisors),
  • Define construction progress priorities and identify specific concerns,
  • Monitor and track the construction progress. Provide inputs and report issues to the CPF-2 Site Construction and Project Support team,
  • Ensure Contractors compliance to the technical and safety/environmental Contract requirements,
  • Maintain good relationships with Contractors, being flexible enough where relevant (strive to achieve value at every opportunity) but also enforce rigorously procedures when required,
  • Check fitness of the Contractors construction equipment (report any HSE issues) and adequacy of Contractor personnel mob/demob for each activities he is in charge of supervising,
  • Facilitate the management/resolution of short-term co-activities issues,
  • Provide inputs to the field engineering group to ensure timely resolution of engineering issues that materialize at Site level,
  • Assist in reviewing optimizing short/medium term construction sequences for the benefit of the overall construction schedule and potential recovery plans,
  • Participate to meetings with Contractors and Affiliate’s departments as required,
  • Promote and support a positive safety culture within the CPY Site Team and with the Contractors,
  • Act as an example in all H3SE aspects concerned by the Project activities in the Site area (including surrounding communities’ areas),
  • Adopt and demonstrate exemplary behaviour regarding Ethics and Project “code of conduct” policy,
  • Observe strict confidentiality in the performance of his duties, all along the course of the Project,
  • Carry out any other duties or tasks that may be required by the position.
