The Senior Stand and Guide Fitter is responsible for leading roll shop shift operations, ensuring accurate roll stand builds, guide maintenance, and smooth mill operations. The role focuses on planning daily activities, maintaining high safety and housekeeping standards, and coordinating with production and engineering teams to achieve optimal performance and product quality.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise roll shop shift activities and teams.
  • Plan and execute roll stand and guide build-up as per production schedules.
  • Conduct toolbox talks and ensure effective shift handovers.
  • Perform final inspection of roll builds, guides, and lifting equipment.
  • Oversee guide maintenance, repair, and installation.
  • Monitor and test systems (e.g., water spray) before mill operations.
  • Ensure strict adherence to HSEQ, safety, and housekeeping standards.
  • Identify, report, and troubleshoot equipment issues and defects.
  • Coordinate with production and engineering teams for seamless operations.
  • Prepare roll build reports and maintain maintenance records.
  • Operate overhead and jib cranes safely and efficiently.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering.
