Job description

Senior Shared Services Accountant


  • Review and audit financial data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with governmental accounting standards.
  • Prepare periodic financial reports for other government entities through the financial system.
  • Prepare regular financial reports.
  • Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Communicate with other government entities to resolve any inquiries or issues.
  • Ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards and relevant financial regulations.


Skills

  1. Strong Knowledge of Government Accounting Standards – Familiarity with IPSAS or local governmental financial regulations.
  2. Advanced Financial Reporting Skills – Ability to prepare, analyze, and interpret complex financial statements and reports.
  3. ERP System Expertise – Proficiency in systems like SAP, Oracle for financial operations.
  4. Budgeting and Forecasting – Experience in preparing and managing budgets, and conducting financial forecasting.
  5. Internal Controls and Compliance – Ensuring adherence to financial policies, procedures, and audit requirements.
  6. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills – Ability to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
  7. Communication and Collaboration – Strong interpersonal skills to work with internal departments and external stakeholders.
  8. Bilingual Communication – Fluency in both Arabic and English for effective communication and reporting.
  9. Time Management and Multitasking – Managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines.
  10. Leadership and Mentoring – Ability to guide junior accountants and contribute to team development.
