Job Summary:
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor for Building Projects, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost and commercial management on construction projects, ensuring they are completed within budget and providing support to the project team.
Job Responsibility:
- Prepare and manage all cost reporting for building projects, including budgets, forecasts, and variations
- Conduct cost analysis, risk assessment, and value engineering to help control project costs
- Liaise with contractors and suppliers to negotiate and procure materials and services at the best possible prices
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior quantity surveyors and other project team members
- Prepare and evaluate tender documents and contracts to ensure they are commercially sound
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in building projects, with a focus on cost control and commercial management
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, tendering processes, and cost estimation techniques
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
