Position Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Project Manager - Data Centers to lead the successful delivery of complex, mission-critical projects across the Middle East. This is a client-facing leadership role responsible for managing multidisciplinary design teams and overseeing projects from initial concept through detailed design, construction support, commissioning, and handover.
The successful candidate will possess extensive experience delivering hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, and other mission-critical facilities within a leading engineering consultancy or specialist data centre environment. They will combine strong technical knowledge with exceptional project leadership, commercial acumen, and stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of complex data centre projects from feasibility and concept design through detailed design, construction support, commissioning, and final handover.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing strategic advice and ensuring exceptional service throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage multidisciplinary project teams comprising architecture, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, ELV, fire protection, ICT, security, and specialist consultants.
• Develop and implement project execution plans, delivery strategies, programmes, resource plans, and governance processes.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while meeting client expectations.
• Chair design coordination meetings, technical workshops, progress reviews, and executive client presentations.
• Monitor commercial performance including project profitability, fee management, scope control, change management, contractual compliance, and risk mitigation.
• Identify and proactively manage technical, commercial, programme, and delivery risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, authorities, operators, vendors, and specialist suppliers to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Support business development activities, client engagement, proposal preparation, and pursuit of new project opportunities.
• Mentor project managers and discipline leads, promoting collaboration, knowledge sharing, and professional development across the team.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Master's degree and/or professional chartership (CEng, PE, PMP, RICS, or equivalent) is advantageous.
• Minimum of 15 years' experience within engineering consultancy, design management, or project delivery.
• Demonstrated experience leading large-scale mission-critical or data centre projects within a consultancy environment.
• Strong understanding of mission-critical infrastructure including power distribution, cooling systems, telecommunications, ICT, security, resilience, and redundancy principles.
• Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary design teams and multiple stakeholders across complex projects.
• Strong commercial awareness with experience managing project budgets, contracts, variations, and client relationships.
• Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Experience

• Delivery of hyperscale data centre campuses and major colocation developments.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Uptime Institute Tier Standards, TIA-942, ASHRAE, NFPA, and other mission-critical design standards.
• Experience working with leading hyperscale cloud providers, global data centre operators, developers, and institutional investors.
• Track record of delivering projects across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and the wider GCC region.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects while maintaining exceptional quality, commercial performance, and client satisfaction.
• Ability to build trusted client relationships and contribute to the continued growth of a market-leading data centre practice.

Salary / Benefits
Circa 50-60,000 AED per month, plus flights and medical.
