Summary:
The Senior Planning Engineer for Roads and Bridges will be responsible for overseeing the planning and scheduling of projects related to utilities, roads, and bridges. They will play a critical role in ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Job Responsibility:
- Develop project plans and schedules for utility projects such as sewer, water, and drainage systems, as well as roads and bridges.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure project milestones are met.
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments to schedules as needed.
- Analyze project data to identify potential risks and delays.
- Provide regular reports to stakeholders on project status and performance.
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 8 to 12 years of experience in planning and scheduling utility, roads, and bridges projects.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Certification in project management is a plus.
Proficiency in project planning and management software such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
- Strong understanding of utility projects including sewer, water, and drainage systems
- Extensive experience in road and bridge construction projects
- Ability to develop detailed project schedules and cost estimates
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with various stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to ensure project deadlines are met
- In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies and best practices
- Understanding of relevant regulations and compliance standards in the construction industry
