Senior Offshore Structural Engineer
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree (BE/B.Tech) in Civil or Structural Engineering (mandatory)
· Master’s degree (ME/M.Tech) with specialization in Structural Engineering (preferred)
Experience
· Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in Offshore Structural Engineering
· Proven experience in offshore structural design with strong technical competence, problem-solving ability, and capability to assume lead roles when required.
· Experience in new offshore structure design as well as modification of existing structures.
Technical Expertise
· Design experience in Fixed Offshore Structures including Jackets, Topsides, Driven & Drilled & Grouted Piles.
· Experience with Floating Structures, including FPSO modules.
· Design exposure to Offshore Bridges, Flare Structures, and associated steel structures.
Structural Analysis Experience
· In-service analyses: In-place, Fatigue, Pushover.
· Pre-service analyses: Load-out, Transportation, Transportation Fatigue, Lift, Launching, Upending, On-bottom Stability.
· Accidental analyses: Boat Impact, Seismic, Blast.
· Secondary Structures Design
o Structural joints and secondary beams
o Pipe and equipment support
o Monorails and Access platforms
o Offshore Structure Buildings
o Lifting padeyes and trunnions
o Wind vortex shedding checks
o J-tubes and riser clamps
Codes & Standards
· Strong working knowledge of international offshore design codes and standards, including:
o API RP 2A, API RP 2EQ
o ISO 19902
o DNVGL-RP-C203
o AISC
Software Skills
· Proficient in offshore structural analysis software such as SACS and USFOS.
· Experience with FEA tools (ANSYS, ABAQUS) is an added advantage.
Client & Interface Experience
· Familiarity with ADNOC, ARAMCO, and QP/QG specifications.
· Experience in coordination with vendors and subcontractors, including technical review and interface management.
