Our client, a leading organization in the Oil and Gas sector based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is seeking a highly skilled Senior Materialsman to join their permanent team.


Key Responsibilities


  • Inspect and receive incoming materials (local/international), ensuring quality, accuracy, and compliance with Oracle Item Master; raise non-conformances and coordinate returns/replacements.
  • Process accepted materials in Oracle, manage binning, storage, and preservation; resolve discrepancies and dispatch critical items promptly.
  • Coordinate testing/inspection of materials and manage outbound logistics (DTRs, work orders, packing, and shipping to offshore/projects).
  • Handle returns of unused materials, ensuring proper inspection before restocking.
  • Perform regular inventory audits, reconcile discrepancies, and support internal/external audits.
  • Assist in disposal of surplus materials and maintain safe, clean warehouse conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE policies (PPE, PTW, TRA), report incidents, and support investigations.
  • Supervise contractors, monitor performance, and ensure accurate timesheets.
  • Oversee forklift/crane operations, ensuring safe lifting practices and equipment maintenance.
  • Provide team backup as required and participate in emergency response, safety programs, and meetings.

  • Secondary education (12 years) with 3 years of technical/administrative training.
  • 10+ years' experience in materials management within the oil & gas industry.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Oracle systems.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English with excellent communication abilities.
  • Team player with leadership skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Committed to continuous learning and professional improvement.
  • Adheres to company information security policies and incident reporting requirements.
  • Valid UAE driving license.
