Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Estimation Engineer – Civil to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for various civil and construction projects. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in tender preparation, cost analysis, bid submissions, and project feasibility assessments to support successful project acquisition and profitability. The candidate must possess strong analytical abilities, technical expertise in construction methods and materials, and the capability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines efficiently.



Key Responsibilities:
    • Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors, and project resources.
    • Prepare techno-commercial proposals and submit them to clients and project stakeholders.
    • Review and analyze project scope, tender documents, specifications, BOQs, and construction drawings.
    • Coordinate closely with the Planning Engineer to develop high-level project timelines and schedules aligned with commercial proposals.
    • Identify potential project risks, cost-saving opportunities, and value engineering solutions during the tendering stage.
    • Participate in tender clarification meetings and provide technical and commercial support.
    • Monitor project costs and revise estimates as required throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Provide cost advice and recommendations to project teams and management.
    • Participate in project meetings to address cost-related matters and support decision-making processes.
    • Maintain and regularly update databases for material costs, labor rates, subcontractor pricing, and market trends.
    • Evaluate subcontractor quotations and negotiate pricing and commercial terms.
    • Interpret and analyze architectural, structural, IFC (Issued for Construction), and shop drawings.
    • Collaborate with Project Managers, Project Engineers, Site Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, and Procurement teams.
    • Share finalized BOQs with Quantity Surveyors for distribution and coordination with relevant departments.
    • Upon project award, coordinate with all departments to initiate project documentation and execution processes.
    • Conduct frequent site visits during the tendering stage to gather project data and verify site conditions.
    • Ensure all estimates comply with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
    • Maintain accuracy, completeness, and consistency of estimation documents and supporting records.
    • Utilize estimation software and Microsoft Office tools for accurate reporting and cost analysis.

Requirements:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in cost estimation and tendering for civil and infrastructure projects.
    • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, specifications, and industry standards.
    • Experience in preparing bids for large-scale civil engineering and construction projects.
    • Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Strong knowledge of local building codes and construction regulations.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
    • Willingness to conduct frequent project site visits during tendering stages.
