Bring your energy to Aggreko as Senior Electrical Engineer who will be provide specific engineering and technical support through the preparation of project specific designs and supporting technical documentations in Sales bids and Operational projects.

What you’ll do as Senior Electrical Engineer:

• Carry out on-site engineering reviews, attend site visits and meetings with customers to understand project requirements, analysis of client system load profiles and electrical plan characteristics to determine sizing of power generation packages

  
  

• Perform due diligence reviews of electrical installations at both design and operational stages as required

  
  

• Analysis and interpretation of electrical drawings to determine parameters for safe and efficient connection of power package to customers’ electrical distribution systems

  
  

• Compilation or review of engineering design reports for submission to clients, management and regulatory authorities as required

  
  

• Design of schematic and layout drawings, compilation of electrical system schematic drawings.

  
  

• Perform electrical fault level calculations and protection studies for high voltage systems

  
  

• Review of Cad based schematic and layout drawings with modification as required

  
  

• Preparation of Project Design Pack documentation in sales proposals and project contractual documentation

  
  

• Advise Sales team on specific design issues and propose engineering solutions

  
  

• Advise Operations team on the project design details during project mobilization process and on engineering issues during project installation and commissioning phases.

You are:

• Technical engineering background/qualification: Power industry experience is preferable.

  
  

• Electrical Engineering qualification: Minimum of 5 to 8 years industry experience in an electrical power systems business. Exposure to power generation, high voltage systems, and project management would be highly regarded.

  
  

• Professional Engineering Registration / Chartered Engineer status: Preferable.

  
  

• Strong understanding of Project Management body of knowledge.

  
  

• Strong computer design skills.

  
  

• Strong interpersonal skills and Customer Focus.

  
  

• Strong communication skills: Both written and oral.

  
  

• Available to travel: On a national and international basis.

  
  

• Team player.

  
  

• Drive for results and Task completion.

  
  

• Resilience and follow-through.

  
  

• Fluent in English: A second language would be an advantage.
