Job Summary:

The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing end-to-end accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with statutory requirements, and supporting management with financial analysis and controls. The role plays a key part in cost control, budgeting, and financial planning within a manufacturing environment.



Key Responsibilities:
    • Manage full-cycle accounting, including GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, and inventory accounting.
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
    • Ensure accurate cost accounting, including product costing, variance analysis, and margin analysis.
    • Reconcile bank statements, intercompany accounts, and balance sheet accounts.
    • Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, overheads, and production variances.
    • Work closely with production and supply chain teams to ensure accurate inventory valuation.
    • Implement and maintain cost control procedures to improve profitability.
    • Support pricing decisions through detailed cost and margin analysis.
    • Assist in preparing annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
    • Analyze financial performance against budget and provide variance explanations.
    • Prepare financial models and management reports to support decision-making.
    • Ensure compliance with local laws, tax regulations, and internal policies.
    • Coordinate internal and external audits and respond to audit queries.
    • Prepare and file VAT, tax returns, and statutory reports on time.
    • Maintain proper documentation and accounting records.
    • Support ERP/accounting system implementation and enhancements.
    • Improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.
    • Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies.
    • Guide and review work of junior accounting staff.
    • Coordinate with banks, auditors, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
    • Support management with financial insights and recommendations.

Requirements:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
    • 8+ years of experience as an Accountant, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
    • Strong knowledge of cost accounting and inventory management.
    • Experience with ERP systems and advanced MS Excel.
    • Knowledge of VAT, taxation, and statutory compliance.
    • Valid driving license (required).
    • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
