Job description

  • Primes dialyzer andbloodlines.


  • Records patients’ medical information and vitalsigns.


  • Oversees the dialysis treatment from start tofinish.


  • Cannulatesaccesses.


  • Cleans and dresses permanent and temporarycatheters.


  • Monitorsandadjustsspecializedequipmentusedonpatientsandinterpretsand recordsinformation.


  • Identifies irregular dialysis reactions and notifies appropriate medical teammembers.


  • Secures bloodworks.


  • Teaches patients and significant others how to manage their illness, by explaining: post-treatment home care needs, diet/nutrition/exercise programs, self-administration of medications, ifneeded.


  • Maintains medicalinventory.


  • Provides pre and post procedure care topatients.


  • Performs other position-related duties as assigned, depending on assignmentsetting.


  • Conducting home visit assessment for home hemodialysisadmission.


  • Following Nephrologistorders.


  • Conducting assessment of a patient whenindicated


  • Recommending changes in the treatment based on the current needs ofpatient


  • FacilitatingCommunicationbetweenthepatientandfamilyononesideandthetrainingteamontheother.


  • Cooperate with and provide oversight and directions to the dialysistechnicians.


  • Participating in continuous quality improvementactivities.

7. QUALIFICATION, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE



ESSENTIAL


PREFERRED



Education


  • Bachelor of Science in Nursingfrom an accredited school of nursing in homecountry.


  • Active Basic Life Support Training- Certified


  • Critical carequalification


  • Hemodialysis (Adult & Pedia) and General.


  • BLS ( for adultpatients)



Experience


  • 2 to 6 years working experience as HemodialysisRN



Certification and Licensure


  • Current valid registration in countryof training and/or country of last employment ( LocalLicense-PRC)


  • DOH-HAAD (Health Authority Abu Dhabi-UAE)Licensed


  • Eligible for DHA / MOHlicensing
