Job Opportunity: Quantity Surveyor (QS)
We are currently looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Sharjah], UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all costs relating to our construction and technical services projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities (BOQ) for various projects.
Monitor project progress and track construction costs against the budget.
Manage tendering processes, including analyzing quotations and preparing tender documents.
Prepare and process progress payments, variations, and final accounts.
Conduct regular site visits to assess work progress and ensure alignment with contract specifications.
Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and project management teams to ensure cost-efficiency.
Maintain accurate project documentation and provide timely reports to senior management.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
3 years of experience in the UAE construction/contracting sector (preferably with a focus on technical services).
Proficiency in estimation software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts and local UAE construction regulations.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
