Job Brief:
We are seeking a qualified QHSE Engineer to support and strengthen the organization’s Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) management systems. The role involves implementing and maintaining QHSE processes, ensuring compliance with international standards, and promoting a strong safety culture across workshop and site operations.
The QHSE Engineer will work closely with various departments to ensure adherence to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and OSHAD standards, conduct inspections, support risk assessments, and monitor QHSE performance. The role also includes preparing project-specific QHSE documentation, participating in incident investigations, and ensuring continuous improvement of safety and quality practices across the organization.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve QHSE management systems, processes, and procedures to support business operations in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and OSHAD standards.
  • Communicate information related to the QHSE Management System throughout the organization and promote health and safety awareness through various communication channels such as Toolbox Talks (TBT), inductions, training sessions, safety campaigns, flyers, discussions, and emails, in coordination with relevant departments.
  • Prepare QHSE documentation for client projects based on project requirements, in consultation with the Business Development and Operations teams.
  • Conduct internal QHSE inspections as well as joint inspections with third-party contractors according to the company’s approved inspection program.
  • Follow up on preventive and corrective actions identified during inspections and ensure timely closure of these actions in coordination with relevant departments.
  • Develop, facilitate, and review QHSE risk assessments for routine and non-routine activities, working closely with the operations team to identify potential hazards and mitigation measures.
  • Record and monitor key QHSE performance indicators (KPIs) on a monthly basis and prepare related performance reports for management review.
  • Suggest improvements and recommend additional effective KPIs as part of the organization’s continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and promote a behavior-based safety culture within the organization through safe job observations and management-led inspections.
  • Perform daily walk-through inspections within company facilities and at client premises to ensure safe working conditions and adherence to safety procedures.
  • Provide support and guidance to staff and colleagues on QHSE-related matters whenever required.
  • Actively participate in HSE incident investigations, prepare investigation reports, and recommend preventive actions in consultation with management.
  • Represent the company in regulatory QHSE meetings, committees, and seminars when required.
  • Perform any other related duties or tasks as assigned by management in line with operational requirements.
  • Job duties may be updated or modified by management based on business needs.


Job Requirements:
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5–10 years of experience in valve maintenance, mechanical workshops, or site operations, with exposure to Quality and HSE management.
  • Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and Health & Safety standards.
  • NEBOSH certification and IMS auditing certification are preferred.
  • Technical expertise in risk assessment methodologies such as HAZOP (Hazard and Operability Study) and HIRA (Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment).
  • Experience in incident investigation procedures and regulatory compliance, including OSHA and local environmental regulations.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to train employees and coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
