Key Responsibilities:Quality Assurance & Control:
- Implement and maintain the company’s QA/QC procedures for fit-out and joinery works.
- Review project specifications, drawings, and materials to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Conduct inspections of raw materials, in-process work, and finished products.
- Prepare method statements, inspection test plans (ITP), and quality control procedures.
- Identify and resolve quality issues, non-conformities, and deviations from project requirements.
- Monitor and ensure the correct execution of all joinery and fit-out works, including carpentry, painting, polishing, and installation.
Site & Factory Inspections:
- Conduct site inspections and factory visits to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Verify dimensions, finishes, and overall workmanship of joinery items.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Coordinate with production and site teams to rectify quality issues.
Testing & Documentation:
- Maintain proper documentation of inspections, test reports, and quality control records.
- Ensure that all quality-related reports, checklists, and NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) are properly maintained.
- Conduct material testing and ensure materials meet approved specifications.
- Assist in third-party inspections and audits as required.
Coordination & Communication:
- Work closely with project managers, site engineers, and production teams to implement quality control measures.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors regarding quality-related issues.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the team on quality-related matters.
- Conduct training and awareness sessions on quality standards and best practices.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify areas for improvement and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Contribute to the development of quality management systems and improvement plans.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends, materials, and quality control techniques.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in QA/QC, preferably in fit-out and joinery.
- Strong knowledge of wood, veneers, laminates, adhesives, paints, and other joinery materials.
- Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 9001, BS, and ASTM standards.
- Experience with site and factory quality inspections.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and AutoCAD is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality control.
