About Dubai Foundation for Women and Children:


   The Dubai Foundation for Women and Children is the first authorized non-profit shelter and humanitarian care in the United Arab Emirates to care for women and children who are victims of domestic violence, child abuse, and victims of human trafficking. It was established in late 2007 in order to provide victims with immediate shelter, protection and support services, in accordance with international human rights conventions.



  • Execute approved psychometric assessments on all assigned clients by the management.
  • Prepare and produce psychometric reports for the assigned cases.
  • Conduct mental and psychological health screeening for all internal clients admitted in the hostel.
  • Consult reference material such as textbooks, manuals, and journals in order to identify symptoms, to make diagnoses, and to develop approaches to treatment
  • Counsel internal & external clients regarding problems such as stress and family situations, in order to modify behaviour and/or to improve personal, social, and vocational adjustment
  • A Master Degree in Psychology or any relevant major pertaining to Psychology Services such as Counselling, Social Work, etc.
  • A Minimum of 5 years of work experience in the field of Mental Health, with a particular emphasis on trauma
