Summary:


Royal International Construction is looking for a dedicated and proactive Project HSE Coordinator to support the implementation of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards across our projects. The successful candidate will assist in ensuring compliance with company policies, project-specific safety requirements, and local regulatory standards, helping to maintain a culture of safety excellence on site.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist the Project HSE Manager in developing, implementing, and monitoring HSE policies, procedures, and site-specific safety plans.


  • Conduct risk assessments, toolbox talks, and HSE training sessions to ensure safety awareness among site personnel.


  • Monitor daily site operations to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with HSE standards and legislative requirements.


  • Participate in incident reporting, investigation, and implementation of corrective measures.


  • Maintain accurate HSE documentation, inspection records, and audit reports.


  • Support coordination between project teams, subcontractors, and management on all HSE matters.


  • Promote a positive and proactive safety culture across all levels of the project.


Location: Dubai or Abu Dhabi.

Experience


  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an HSE role (Coordinator or Officer level).


  • Prior experience in construction, oil & gas, or large-scale infrastructure projects is highly preferred.


Educational Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.


Certifications (Mandatory & Preferred)


Essential:


  • NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC)


Preferred / Valuable Certifications:


  • IOSH Managing Safely


  • OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour Certification


  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP)


Skills & Competencies


Technical Skills:


  • Strong understanding of HSE management systems and ISO standards.


  • Familiarity with local and national HSE laws and regulations.


  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).


Soft Skills:


  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.


  • Strong leadership and team-building capabilities to promote a positive safety culture.


  • Effective problem-solving and analytical mindset.


  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
