A top-tier international practice in Dubai is looking to hire a 3–6 PQE Associate to join a market-leading Energy & Infrastructure / Project Finance Team. This role works alongside a Partner with deep cross-border experience spanning energy transition (green hydrogen, sustainable aviation fuel), solar PV IPPs, power & water (IWPs), petrochemicals as well as, hyperscale data centres, often on multi-sourced, ECA-backed and Islamic finance structures across the GCC and wider EMEA.
About the role
The Project Finance Associate advises lenders, ECAs and sponsors on the development and financing of large-scale projects. The Associate will draft, review and negotiate finance documentation (common terms, facility agreements, security, intercreditor, hedging) and key project side documents (PPAs, EPC/O&M, offtake, supply/feedstock, concession). Furthermore, the Associate will lead discrete workstreams, manage CP/CS processes and coordinate multi-jurisdictional diligence. Along with liaising with commercial banks, ECAs, and governmental stakeholders on complex risk allocation, while mentoring juniors and contributing to knowledge-sharing and business development.
About you
The successful candidate must have 3–6+ years of PQE with strong experience in project finance within an international or leading regional environment. Additional advantage having exposure to energy and infrastructure transactions and with excellent drafting and negotiation skills. The ideal candidate must be confident with running workstreams with limited supervision. Candidates with experience working in the Middle East are preferred, however those who have a genuine interest in relocating to Dubai shall also be considered. Our client has a preference for candidate with common law qualification (e.g., England & Wales). Fluency in Arabic is advantageous but not essential.
