The Project Engineer – Fire Rated Steel Doors is responsible for planning, execution, and delivery of fire-rated steel door projects from design coordination to installation and handover. The role ensures compliance with fire safety standards, project timelines, quality requirements, and client specifications..
Manage end-to-end execution of fire-rated steel door projects
Coordinate with design, production, procurement, and site teams
Monitor project timelines and ensure on-time delivery
Review and interpret shop drawings, IFC drawings, and specifications
Ensure compliance with fire rating standards (e.g., UL, BS, EN standards)
Liaise with consultants, contractors, and clients for approvals
Coordinate material requirements with procurement team
Follow up with factory/production team for manufacturing progress
Ensure correct specifications and quality of materials used
Supervise installation activities at site
Ensure proper alignment, fixing, and sealing of fire-rated doors
Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues
Ensure all products meet fire rating certifications and safety standards
Conduct inspections and ensure adherence to QA/QC procedures
Maintain documentation for approvals, inspections, and handover
Act as the point of contact for clients and consultants
Attend project meetings and provide progress updates
Handle technical queries and resolve project-related issues
Prepare project reports, progress updates, and schedules
Maintain records of drawings, approvals, and test certificates
Support project handover documentation
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Civil Engineering or related field
3–7 years of experience in fire-rated doors, steel fabrication, or construction projects
Knowledge of fire-rated door standards (UL, NFPA, BS, EN)
Experience in GCC/UAE projects preferred
Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office
Strong project management and coordination skills
