The role is responsible for inspecting, supervising, and coordinating the installation, testing, and commissioning of Fire Alarm, Voice Evacuation, and Emergency Lighting Systems. The position ensures full compliance with project specifications, NFPA standards, and UAE Civil Defence requirements while supporting timely and quality project delivery.
1. Installation & Site Supervision
Supervise and inspect installation of fire alarm and voice evacuation systems including detectors, MCPs, panels, sounders, speakers, and fire telephone systems
Inspect installation of emergency lighting systems including exit lights and central battery systems
Ensure all works are executed as per approved shop drawings, specifications, and method statements
2. Testing & Commissioning
Witness testing and commissioning of systems in coordination with consultants and authorities
Verify system functionality, integration, and compliance prior to handover
3. Compliance & Quality Assurance
Ensure compliance with NFPA standards (e.g., NFPA 72), UAE Civil Defence, and local authority regulations
Review shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documentation
Identify non-conformities and ensure corrective actions are implemented
4. Documentation & Reporting
Prepare inspection reports, snag lists, and progress updates
Track and close site observations and defects within timelines
Maintain records of inspections, approvals, and testing activities
5. Coordination & Communication
Coordinate with MEP contractors, consultants, and internal teams
Attend site meetings, technical discussions, and safety briefings
Support project engineers/managers in execution and reporting
Education
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering
Experience
2–5 years of experience in Fire Alarm, Voice Evacuation, and Emergency Lighting Systems
UAE/GCC project experience preferred
Valid UAE Driving License is mandatory
Strong knowledge of Fire Alarm & Voice Evacuation Systems
Familiarity with Emergency Lighting Systems and central battery systems
Understanding of NFPA / BS standards and authority regulations
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
Attention to detail and quality-focused approach
Strong problem-solving skills
Effective communication and reporting abilities
Team coordination and time management
