We are seeking a highly skilled Calypso Product Engineer with strong expertise in treasury and capital markets systems.
The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience with Calypso architecture, APIs, and trade lifecycle , along with solid programming skills in Java and database experience in Oracle .
Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and support solutions within the Calypso platform Work closely with front office, middle office, and back office teams to implement business requirements Customize and enhance Calypso modules including Workstation, Pricing Sheets, and workflows Develop and integrate Calypso APIs and REST-based services Handle trade lifecycle processes including trade capture, validation, settlement, accounting, and reporting Work on scheduled tasks, engines, and batch processing Collaborate on real-time integrations using FIX / Kafka Provide support for system enhancements, upgrades, and production issues Required Skills & Experience Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with Calypso Strong understanding of Calypso architecture and APIs Solid experience in Core Java development Good working knowledge of Oracle Database (SQL/PL-SQL) Experience with REST API frameworks and integrations Strong understanding of trade lifecycle in capital markets Experience with front office modules (Calypso Workstation, Pricing Sheets) Domain Knowledge Strong understanding of Equity products Good exposure to Treasury products , including: FX / Money Markets (MM) Bonds Repo Interest Rate Swaps (IRS) Cross Currency Swaps (CCS) Credit Default Swaps (CDS) Additional (Good to Have) Experience with Calypso Risk / ERS modules Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as SA-CCR, FRTB Familiarity with real-time data streaming (Kafka) Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management Ability to work in a fast-paced, client-facing environment
