A Procurement Engineer is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services required for engineering or construction projects. The role ensures cost efficiency, quality compliance, and timely delivery while coordinating with suppliers, vendors, and internal project teams.
Manage end-to-end procurement processes for engineering materials and technical equipment.
Review technical specifications, drawings, and BOQs to identify procurement requirements.
Source reliable vendors and suppliers locally and internationally.
Prepare RFQs, compare quotations, and conduct techno-commercial evaluations.
Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and contracts.
Issue purchase orders and track order status until delivery.
Coordinate with project, engineering, and logistics teams for material planning.
Ensure compliance with project specifications, company standards, and client requirements.
Monitor supplier performance and resolve supply or quality issues.
Maintain procurement records, cost reports, and vendor databases.
Ensure adherence to UAE procurement regulations and company policies.
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering.
3–8 years of procurement experience in engineering, construction, oil & gas, or manufacturing sectors.
Knowledge of technical materials, engineering components, and vendor sourcing.
Familiarity with international procurement standards and Incoterms.
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Cost analysis and budgeting expertise.
Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
Advanced MS Excel and documentation skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability.
Experience working on Middle East projects.
Knowledge of import/export procedures and customs regulations.
Professional certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, or PMP (preferred).
Immediate joiners or candidates available in UAE preferred.
