The Department of Electrical and Power Engineering at the United Arab Emirates University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow position in Electrical Engineering. The successful candidate will contribute to high-quality, cutting-edge research in the area of intelligent hybrid solar–hydrogen energy systems for carbon-free and resilient clean-energy futures. The position is associated with the funded project: Intelligent Hybrid Solar–Hydrogen Networks for Carbon-Free Futures: AI-Enhanced PV–TEG-Hydrogen Systems for Resilient Clean Energy. The appointed postdoctoral fellow is expected to support the development of innovative solutions for next-generation renewable energy systems through advanced modeling, optimization, intelligent control, and experimental validation. The research will focus on topics such as photovoltaic and hybrid renewable-energy systems, hydrogen production and storage, fuel-cell-based energy systems, microgrid energy management, AI-enhanced forecasting and control, and system-level integration for resilient and sustainable operation. The successful candidate will be expected to conduct independent and collaborative research, contribute to high-impact journal publications, assist in experimental setup and validation activities, support system integration tasks, and help supervise student research activities within the project Research Areas Include  Intelligent hybrid solar–hydrogen energy systems  Photovoltaic and hybrid renewable-energy architectures  Hydrogen production, storage, and fuel cell technologies  Microgrid modeling, operation, and energy management  AI-based forecasting, optimization, and intelligent control  Experimental validation and system integration for resilient clean energy systems


Minimum Qualifications:


 PhD in Electrical Engineering  Strong research background relevant to renewable energy systems, hydrogen systems, or intelligent energy management  Ability to contribute to advanced research in intelligent hybrid solar–hydrogen networks and AI-enhanced clean-energy systems  Ability to support experimental development, system integration, and supervision of student research activities


Preferred Qualifications:


 PhD in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Energy Systems, or a related discipline  Strong background in renewable energy and/or hydrogen technologies  Experience in modeling, simulation, optimization, and/or laboratory-based research  Knowledge of artificial intelligence or machine learning applications in energy systems is highly desirable  Strong publication record and demonstrated research potential  Highly motivated, independent, and capable of working within a multidisciplinary research team
