Summary:
The Plant Engineer - Heavy Plant will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and overhauling of heavy plant machinery and hydraulic components at workshop sections and on various projects. They will work under the supervision of the Chief Plant Engineer or Section Head.
Job Responsibility:
- Perform repair, maintenance, and overhauling of heavy construction equipment such as mobile cranes, excavators, dozers, graders, skid loaders, wheel loaders, backhoe loaders, tele-handlers, and other heavy plant machinery.
- Conduct preventive and periodic maintenance on heavy plant items to ensure optimal functionality.
- Collaborate with the Chief Plant Engineer and Section Head to address any issues related to the repair and maintenance of heavy plant machinery.
- Ensure all repair and maintenance tasks are carried out efficiently and according to safety regulations.
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in repairing and maintaining heavy plant machinery, including mobile cranes, excavators, dozers, and other equipment.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems and components.
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance on heavy plant items.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
