We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Operations Manager to lead the overall operations, profitability, business development, and strategic growth of a valve service workshop in Abu Dhabi. The role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality repair, maintenance, testing, refurbishment, and field service operations while driving revenue growth, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in valve maintenance and service operations, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven track record in managing workshop operations, business development, and customer relationships within the Oil & Gas, Power, Water, and Industrial sectors. Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and execute the workshop's annual business plan and growth strategy.
  • Establish short-term and long-term objectives aligned with company goals.
  • Drive business expansion and market penetration within the Oil & Gas, Power, Water, and Industrial sectors.
  • Identify new opportunities for maintenance contracts, shutdown projects, and valve service agreements.
Business Development & Sales
  • Build strong relationships with ADNOC, EPC contractors, end users, consultants, and key industry stakeholders.
  • Lead commercial discussions and negotiate major service contracts.
  • Develop partnerships with valve manufacturers and OEMs.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging business opportunities.
  • Achieve annual revenue and profitability targets.
Operations Management
  • Oversee all workshop and field service activities.
  • Ensure efficient utilization of manpower, equipment, and operational resources.
  • Monitor job execution from quotation through completion and invoicing.
  • Improve workshop productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure timely completion of projects and customer orders.
Financial Management
  • Manage workshop budgets, costs, and profitability.
  • Review and approve major quotations, purchases, and capital expenditures.
  • Monitor monthly financial performance and implement corrective actions when required.
  • Drive continuous improvement in margins and cost control initiatives.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and customer requirements.

  • Promote a strong safety culture throughout the organization.
Team Leadership
  • Lead and develop workshop managers, engineers, supervisors, and support staff.
  • Establish performance objectives and KPIs.
  • Identify training and development requirements.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Customer Relations
  • Maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
  • Participate in high-level customer meetings and presentations.
  • Resolve critical customer issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Represent the organization at industry events and business meetings.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • MBA will be an advantage.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in valve maintenance, repair, testing, and service operations.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in a senior management position.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial valves, actuators, safety valves, and control valves.
  • Strong leadership and strategic planning capabilities.
  • Experience in business development and commercial management.
  • Financial management and budget control expertise.
  • Strong workshop operations management experience.
  • Customer relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
