About the job OFFSHORE STRUCTURAL ENGINEER

As a Structural Engineer, You will supports the delivery of offshore structural engineering design for fixed platforms, topsides, and related structures. Works under the supervision of a Senior Engineer and contributes to analysis, design documentation, and cross-discipline coordination.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Perform structural analysis and design of offshore structures including topsides, jackets, and modules
  • Prepare engineering calculations, design documentation, and technical specifications
  • Carry out code checks and structural assessments in accordance with project standards
  • Coordinate with other disciplines for load inputs, equipment data, and interface requirements
  • Support preparation of material take-offs (MTOs) and purchase requisitions
  • Check and review design drawings produced by structural designers
  • Participate in design reviews, HAZID/HAZOP sessions, and engineering workshops
  • Ensure all work is executed per quality management and project procedures

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • 8+ years of experience in offshore structural engineering within FEED or EPC projects
  • Hands-on experience with structural analysis software (SACS, SESAM, or STAAD)
  • Working knowledge of API RP 2A, AISC, ISO 19902, and DNV standards
  • Experience on offshore oil & gas projects in the Middle East is advantageous
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
