Job description

Our client, a leading hospital in Dubai, is currently looking for a Nursing Director to be based in Dubai to lead the strategic nursing development services of the department and maintains performance improvement activities within the department and supports and participates quality improvement projects. In this role, you will be responsible to:


  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for all nursing services, ensuring high standards of patient care, quality, patient safety, and risk management.
  • Lead nursing workforce planning, recruitment, retention, performance management, and professional development initiatives
  • Develop and implement nursing policies, systems, and quality improvement programs to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership, multidisciplinary teams, and external stakeholders to enhance clinical outcomes and organizational performance.
  • Oversee nursing budgets, resource allocation, and financial management to support efficient service delivery.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, continuous learning, research, innovation, and patient- and family-centered care.
  • Ensure nursing staff maintain the required clinical competencies through orientation, training, education, and succession planning.
  • Lead organizational responses to patient care issues, complaints, accreditation requirements, and emergency/disaster situations.


Requirements

The Ideal Candidate would have:


  • Masters qualification in Management/ Nursing/Administration or certified PhD degree
  • Minimum 15 years of clinical experience post qualification and 3 years in a DON position OR 5 years in A/DON Position in a hospital deals with pediatric population.
  • Extensive knowledge of health care, business, or public administration
  • High-level administration and management within healthcare or similar experience is desired
  • Experience of clinical and/or corporate governance.
