Key Responsibilities:
  • Review project drawings and specifications to understand MEP requirements and scope of works.


  • Coordinate with architects, designers, structural engineers, and subcontractors for smooth integration of MEP systems within the fit-out.


  • Prepare or review MEP shop drawings, material submittals, load calculations, and system layouts.


  • Supervise and inspect site installations to ensure compliance with design, quality, and safety standards.


  • Manage subcontractors and suppliers for timely and cost-effective execution of MEP works.


  • Attend coordination meetings and resolve clashes/conflicts between MEP services and architectural elements.


  • Ensure MEP works adhere to local codes, authority regulations, and client requirements.


  • Participate in testing, commissioning, and handover of all MEP systems.


  • Maintain documentation, including progress reports, inspection requests, and snag lists.



Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.


  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in MEP engineering, with at least 3 years in interior fit-out projects.


  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, lighting, power systems, fire fighting, fire alarm, plumbing, and ELV systems.


  • Proficient in reading and preparing MEP drawings using AutoCAD, Revit (preferred), and MS Office.


  • Familiar with authority approval processes and standards (e.g., DEWA, DM, SEWA, DCD, etc. – tailor as per region).


  • Excellent problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills.


  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
