About the job MECHANICAL ENGINEER - PACKAGES

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer – Packages to join our engineering team for oil & gas projects in the FEED and Detail Design phases. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with ADNOC onshore projects, focusing on the design, specification, and coordination of mechanical equipment packages.


Job Responsibilities:


  • Perform mechanical engineering design and calculations for package equipment, including pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, and pressure vessels.
  • Prepare and review datasheets, specifications, P&IDs, and layouts for mechanical packages.
  • Ensure compliance with ADNOC engineering standards, project specifications, and international codes (ASME, API, ANSI).
  • Interface with multi-disciplinary teams including process, civil, electrical, and instrumentation engineers to ensure package integration.
  • Review vendor drawings, datasheets, and calculations for procurement packages.
  • Support FEED studies and Detail Design, including load calculations, weight and center of gravity (COG) analysis, and equipment selection.
  • Provide technical support during technical queries, design reviews, and HAZOP sessions.
  • Ensure adherence to project schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Key Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 12–15 years of relevant experience in oil & gas projects, with proven ADNOC onshore experience.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical design codes and standards (ASME, API, ISO).
  • Experience with FEED and Detail Design documentation, 3D modeling, and package design coordination.
  • Hands-on experience with Chemical Injection Package, Refrigeration Package, Filtration Package, Centrifuge Package
  • Familiarity with material selection, mechanical calculations, stress analysis, and rotor dynamics.
  • Proficient in engineering software such as PDMS, Smart Plant, AutoCAD, CAESAR II, or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment.
